Dear Luis,
The short answer is - frequently.
From his first recording session in May 1938 with Timme Rosenkrantz and
His Barrelhouse Barons (with Rex Stewart and Billy Kyle) to Ethel
Waters, Benny Carter, Cab Calloway, Jonah Jones, Milt Hinton, Rex
Stewart, Sid Catlett, Duke Ellington, Ivory Joe Hunter, Al Hibbler, Hal
Singer, Buck Clayton, Don Redman, Clark Terry, Aaron Bell, Claude
Hopkins, Louis Armstrong All Stars and Glenn's own groups.
Too many to list separately.
Only recently I saw the clip with Louis. Probably on YouTube and which
may have been "Avalon" from the 1965 film 'Solo'.
I was surprised to find how many Tyree Glenn recordings I have in my
collection.
Kind regards,
Bill.
