There's a good reason why the official logo of the Hot Chamber Music
Society features an uplifted trumpet with flames shooting out of the
bell, and when you hear this band you'll understand. Since its founding
in 1996, the HCMS has been delighting enthusiastic audiences of
listeners and dancers alike, with a repertoire ranging from the hottest
New Orleans and Chicago style Dixieland jazz, to the lowest of the
low-down blues. Between long running first Sunday gigs at Dominic's
Restaurant & Night Club and John Barleycorn's Restaurant & Bar in Santa
Rosa, and numerous appearances at special events of all kinds around the
Bay Area, the Hot Chamber Music Society has built a strong following of
loyal fans. They enjoy the driving beat, tight ensemble work and
imaginative solos combines in a way that sets this band apart from all
others. One secret of the band's success is that they've had
essentially the same personnel from the start, and their Dixieland
credentials are impressive.

Playing for us on the 13th will be:

Candy Woodworth, leader on tuba
Jim Gammon on trumpet
Dave Frey on plectrum banjo
Bill Badstubner on trombone
Ray Walker on reeds
Jan Stiers on piano
Soren Bloch on drums

One month later, NVDJS will feature the Natural Gas Jazz Band
on Sunday, June 10th, 2007 from 1-5 PM at the same location.

Spacious Dance Floor. The lodge has Food and a Full Bar.
