Larry's post reminded me of a long ago gig in Maine. The occasion was a  
housewarming on the ocean, a magnificant million dollar home overlooking the  
crashing breakers from a granite cliff above them-Even the faucets in the  
bathrooms were gold plated. You get the picture-
 
Two bands were hired, including the big swing band I played with so the  
outdoor music would be non-stop. The entire town was invited by the  newly weds. 
She was a Broadway actress in "South Pacific" and he was a  millionaire. 
 
There was booze by the case, top quality stuff stacked outside, The locals  
could be seen hauling the cases to their cars! Likewise the food. Worst example 
 of abuse of hospitality by guests I ever saw. 
 
Nope, the band behaved  themselves.                               Ted
