Jazz Giants of yesterday and today is the theme of the May-June Hot Jazz
Channel show which goes "live" at www.radiojazz.co.uk about now.

Heading the nominations are Bill Allred's Classic Jazz Band, the Chris
Barber Jazz & Blues Band and the French Preservation New Orleans band with
Fred Vigorito and Big Bill Bissonnette.    In the classic segment the
nominations include Bix Beiderbecke and Frankie Trumbauer, the Luis Russell
Orchestra with Henry Red Allen and Herb Morand with the Harlem Hamfats.
Further nominations from the contemporary scene include John Crocker with
Trevor Richards All Stars, the Jim Cullum Jazz Band, mainland European
cornetist and songwriter Leo Brunn, John Wheatley and Tony Coe, Debbie
Arthur, Gene Harris, Ken Colyer's Jazzmen, the Crane River Jazz Band, Nat
Gonella's Georgians, the Cy Laurie Jazz Band, Soprano Summit - Kenny Davern
with Bob Wilber and finally the Franz Jackson Original Jass All-Stars with
Bob Shoffner.

The Hot Jazz Channel shows are devised and presented by Brian Harvey and
engineered by John Booth.
