[Dixielandjazz] Tony Scott RIP

I seem to remember reading years ago in a biography about Duke 
Ellington by Bill Gutman that Tony Scott played briefly with the 
Ellington band in the early 1950s but there were problems and he 
left. Anybody recall anything about this?
