[Dixielandjazz] Tony Scott RIP

Tony Scott played nightly with our band in about 1969 for a probably a month
or two.  He stayed first at my house before finding a place to stay, and
took avail of my dentist as his gums hurt him badly.  No wonder, the way he
bit down on the clarinet mouthpiece.  

I have never heard a louder clarinetist in my life, although he could
contrast that with lovely, close miked low register solos.  

His signiture clothing was black trousers, black long sleeve t-shirt, black
belt & shoes, long black coat (to the floor) & a shaved head...at least at
that time.

An interesting man....
