[Dixielandjazz] Metheny's comments on Kenny G.

[George Thurmond]

	After reading Metheny's rather opinionated "critique" of Kenny,
I am reminded of Liberace's response to critics of his piano playing
antics - "I laugh at them all my way to the bank"!  But I'm convinced
and will join in the boycott urged of G.  Since I never bought any of
his recorded works I have none to ceremoniously burn.  So I pledge to
get away from his wailing sax by no longer riding in elevators, shopping
in malls, dining out in upscale restaurants, and frequenting other
places where his instrument's musings prevail in the background.
Henceforth I will take the stairs, do my shopping in WalMarts, and use
the take-out windows in the fast foods joints, and finally stay posted
to the List to see what else I might do in the boycott movement.
