Ah yes but now the jabs are coming from outside the ring again :))

The spectators want into the fray :))

Come on folks don't throw lit cigarettes onto the gasoline and it will
go out all by itself.

Easiest thing to do is start another interesting thread.

Like why is there this nationwide image ( at least in the USA) about so
many Dixieland bands being so bad by some elements of society and yet
others thing they are just simply the cat's meow and should be held up
for all the world to see and hear as exemplarary examples of American
Dixieland music. And true most Professional Jazz musicians just
ignore them and would never think of telling them they were not exactly
shining examples of what all our music is supposed to be about. And
anybody who would dare be so politically incorrect as to actually say
anything less than encouraging to them should no doubt be taken out and
stoned to death.

Now Jerry Gordon and Bill Gunter I would venture to say that the
Washboard that I borrowed cause I don't own one is better than either
one of yours, :)) But it sounded just like yours until I tuned it to
an out of tune piano, now it just simply purrs melodic blasts of sheer
heavenly music. :)) a hhhaaaahhhaaa : LOL

Cheers,

Tom Wiggins

   >>>David, don't leave the list as others who have
tried to go at it with Steve have done. I miss
them. Many of us, me anyway, enjoy your writing
and wit, even if you are not a worldclass
musician playing 200 high paying gigs a year and
even if never met and played with Coleman
Hawkins, Roy Eldridge, Pee Wee Russell, Vic
Dickenson, ... I better stop -listing the names
of the all time greats can be habit forming.<<<

I know how hard it is to resist a jab, but this is simply more of the
same.
Stopping has to begin with someone, at some point. Can't this be that
point?
