Dear Listers:

I am really, really sorry to learn that Joe Ascione has MS.  I had a 
girlfriend in Maryland who died from it at the age of 52 in 2000.  I am sure 
that the treatments get better all the time, but they mostly are aimed at 
delaying the progression of the symptoms.  There is no cure.

Joe played for the Austin Traditional Jazz Society with Ed Polcer several 
times.  He is a marvelous young talent.
