Havi been a purveyor of libations several times in the past, also worked in the food industry, the term 86 hs a couple conotations. 1 In a restaaurant, the term means out of that item. 2. In a bar there are several, one being---you can no longer be served, because you are too inebriated or obnoxious and you need to leave. Usually an 86 is only a temporary condition , until the next time, then if a person persists in acting in that manner, a permanent 86 will exclude from being a patron.forever, unless there are some conditions met..
Howevah the expression is generally considered to be "NO MORE", derivation unknown.
