The following link to Mora's Modern Rhythmists has just been sent to me 
by my friend, Denis King, moderator of the Australian Dance Bands list.
How come this long-established Los Angeles orchestra (specialising in 
20s-30s pre-Swing music) wasn't mentioned by someone when I had my 
earlier 'cartoon music' spat with my mate Steve Barbone?
Just kidding about the spat.
Make sure that you click on to listen to and watch ALL of the left hand

some reason I couldn't access the Recordings link.)
There's a lot there to absorb.
