[Dixielandjazz] "Was I Drunk" (was no subject)

I'm stirred from my slumbers when I see my name mentioned on the list by 
Bill Haesler:-)

I first sang Was I Drunk with Big Bear Stompers (UK) in its first 
incarnation.  The band rested for a few years and is now flourishing again 
with a great line-up including John Arthy (founder of the Pasadena Roof 
Orchestra) on Sousa and a couple of brilliant young guys Ben Cummings (tpt 
1) and Graham Hughes (tbn) We were proud to have Jim Maihack playing 
trombone on some sessions with the band when it re-formed  a couple of years 
ago and there's a recording to mark the occasion (link from "records" on my 
website for soundclips).

For any UK lurkers who might like to hear us most of the gigs are on my 
website but my resident webmaster (and Big Bear tpt 2) has forgotten about 
Lains Barn nr. Wantage, Oxfordshire  Day of Jazz tomorrow June 16th  noon to 
6pm

 Playing order:  Big Bears, Chris Walker's Swing St and the Pete Allen Jazz 
Band.  This is the 16th year for the Jazz day and so far we've had good 
weather; the forecst is promising despite floods in  parts of the UK.  Email 
me off list if you'd like more details about any of the gigs.
