Yeah, Dan, if you search TubaEuph for "mics" you'll find lotsa stuff.

My favorite, although I don't have one, is the AKG 418.  It's a little 
lav-sized thing, can be wired or wireless, and has a great low end response. 
  The Broadway tours I've played have used that mic.

A bass drum mic is also good, there are lots of them around in all sorts of 
price ranges.

I have a Shure Beta Green 4 ( I think, either a 4 or 5) that was inexpensive 
some 10 years ago, has a low end to about 30 hz with not much dropoff, and 
is really clear.  It works well for vocals even, so it's pretty flexible.


yeah, you won't need one unless you're REALLY recording!
