Subject: Paying my respects to Bill Gunter

Dear list mates,

I have been away from the list most of this month and have not yet paid my
respects to our friend, Bill Gunter. I second all the great things you have
said about him as a friend/musician/Jubilee volunteer, and I would like to
add that he was invaluable to the jazz community as a graphic designer who
was eager to assist with any and all projects that required this area of
expertise. Bill had a handy knowledge of the tricky software required to
complete various projects in this modern world of digital art. He designed
CD covers, fliers, newsletters, and so much more. Best of all, he
contributed both willingly and joyfully.

As a way of welcoming the new STJS editor (nearly four years ago) he
graciously parted with a large notebook related to graphic design and passed
it down to me, in hopes it would assist me in my work.

He always treated me with respect and appreciation, as a human being and
fellow artist; for that, I am grateful. May our silly Billy rest in peace.

Love and hugs,
Nancy
