IMHO- Just as good as the 1920s version, but different.  Both versions give 
me cold chills.

Zeke Zarchy, the Goodman, Miller, Shaw, lead trumpet player who played in my 
Great Pacific Jazz band when I lived in Los Angeles, told me that while 
growing up in NY in the early 30s, if a trumpet player could not play Louis' 
opening cadenza, then he was not a trumpet player.
