Dear Mike,
That's good news for all those who rely on internet radio for their
jazz music.
However, you will also be happy to know that a question you raised
several weeks ago has been answered:
A new JASMINE reissue.
THE FIREHOUSE FIVE / STOKING THE FIRE (460)
2-CD set. The Firehouse Five Plus Two were mostly comprised of
cartoon animators from the Disney Studios and their spontaneous
sessions were often injected with a good dose of humour. "Stoking the
Fire" follows on from the success of the first volume "Settin' the
World on Fire" Jasmine 426 and is a great second helping, showing what
a fun and lively jazz band the Firehouse Five were. Also Included in
this fantastic new set are rare recordings of the band with Bing Crosby
and Ella Fitzgerald.
From Worlds Records. 2-CD: $20.00]
Kind regards,
Bill.
