[Dixielandjazz] Vale John W. Scott

According to K. O. Eckland's book "Jazz West 2". John Scott founded the Apex
Jazz Band in 1976 and it lasted until 1982. John initially played trombone
in the band. Other initial members include Cal Abbott (cl), Bill Armstrong
(bjo), Jeff Bender (p), Phil Kirk (tpt), Bob Hinman (bass). When Phil Kirk
left Apex to form Professor Plum, Scott switched to trumpet.

The following players came into and left the band at various times: Steve
Abrams, Derek Brown, Don Hartburg, Rick Holzgrafe, Marc Marcus, Gary
Milliken, Dick Speer, John Stringer, Mike Swanson and Joyce Taylor.
