That's sad news. Johnny played the Elkhart festival for a couple of years
earlier this decade. He also had a regular gig a couple of years ago on the
south side in the heart of White Sox territory.
He was a terrific violin player and will be missed.

Sad to report that Johnny passed away July 4th. Played Violin, Bass,and
wrote interesting poetry. Wrote several songs, most famous was "Hey Hey
Holy Mackerel" in honor of the '69 Chicago Cubs. Johnny lived in Chicago
and I'm sure many folks on the list are familiar with his work.
