Black Diamond Blue Five takes its name from the Clarence Williams Blue
Five, which featured Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet. This band
originated many of the trad jazz standards, including "Cake Walkin'
Babies from Home." The Black Diamond Blue Five was organized in 1992 by
George Knoblauch, and features the direct engaging polyphony of a
two-piece front line, and the stomping rhythms and bluesy pop-jazz so
typical of the Clarence Williams Blue Five at its best.

The band's normal lineup consists of:

George Knoblauch, leader, on banjo
Robert Young on sax and cornet
Leon Oakley on cornet
Marty Eggers on piano
Clint Baker on tuba

One month later, NVDJS will feature Cell Block Seven Jazz Band
on Sunday, August 12th, 2007 from 1-5 PM at the same location.

Spacious Dance Floor. The lodge has Food and a Full Bar.
