[Dixielandjazz] Bob Cats

AMEN, brother!  I missed the Bob Cats at the Elkhart Festival this year.  I
guess they weren't invited.  I'd seen them the previous two years, and was
hoping to again.  I hope they get on their toes there in Elkhart and invite
them back for 2008.

Speaking about the Bob Cats, if any of the festival movers and shakers on
listening, Ed Metz and the current Bob Cats do one hell of a job with the
Bob Cat repertoire and the same instrumentation. Metz does, however, redo
the arrangements, updating them and allowing more solo space. In effect his
band does indeed bring something "NEW" to the party, yet will be recognized
by Bob Cat fans as playing in their style.

Superb 8 piece band. But don't plead budget and try to cut it back to 6
because then you don't have the Bob Cats anymore do you?
