I think the IAJE as well as the CIA and the FBI & IRS frown upon 
Whistling or
  any other activity that might lead one to believe that the general 
population
  is happy even for a minute.  Gawd forbid they hear one of us whistling 
WWW. :))

Better back off that whistling Ron,  Big Brother is watching:))

    I whistle all the time, much to the annoyance of some around me.  I

hear music in my head, which is good.  It drowns out the little voices

are telling me to do evil things 8-).   FWIW, I'm almost 60 years old.

Just an aside - does anyone hear anyone whistling anymore?  When I was 
a kid

in the 40's a lot of people whistled.  I know I did and when I think 
about
it I can't remember the last time I heard anyone.

I remember too how much it annoyed me when the person was whistling out 
of
tune or aimlessly.   So maybe it's a good thing after all.
