Not Dixieland, but perhaps some on the list may want to go to this event.
Below is a pre-registration notice. Special pre-registration prices are:
Platinum Pass $400 ($375 member) Includes a dinner party and Dave Pell
concert on May 21
Gold Pass $375 ($350 member)
Prices go up by $25 after January 15, 2008.

>From May 22 to May 25 2008, the LAJI Jazz Festival will be held at the Four
Points Sheraton in Los Angeles. They are presenting:
The Stage Door Swings - Jazz and Big Band Interpretations of classic
Broadway Shows and a celebration of the Great American Songbook.
1) Jack Sheldon Big Band w/Tierney Sutton performing Shelly Manne's My Fair
Lady with the UN-original cast.
2) Ken Peplowski and his music men play Jimmy Giuffre's original jazz
arrangements of Meridith Wilson's The Music Man.
3) Bud Shank Sextet plays the music of Harold Arlen.
4) Helen Merrill with songs from the Rodgers and Hammerstein Songbook.
5) The Jazz Giants play Guys and Dolls (featuring Bud Shank & Bobby Shew)
6) The Marty Paich Dektette performs Paich's "The Broadway Bit" and "Torme
Swings Shubert Alley"
7> Dial and Oatts with Cole Porter Verses.
8) Lennie Niehaus Big Band with "The Stage Door Swings and Adventures in
Standards.
9) Stan Kenton's West Side Story
10) Bill Potts' Jazz Soul of Porgy and Bess
11) The Los Angeles Jazz Orchestra plays the Cole Porter Songbook featuring
arrangements by Bill Holman, Shorty Rogers, Bob Brookmeyer, Gerry
Mulligan, Manny Albam, Nelson Riddle and Billy May
