[Dixielandjazz] Bagpipes at Funerals

I think that it's pretty much universal now.  My cousin is a piper in D.C. 
and they do it there for firemen - policemen.  I know that it is done in 
Chicago.  It probably spread from the East to here.

There are several large band pieces written with pipes.  A friend of mine 
wrote a piece for his Master's with bagpipes. We performed it last year with 
a concert band. He's talented. Very effective.
