Hello all

The emergence of the bagpipe thread reminds me of an incident in "The 
west wing" - when President Jed learns of Toby's leaking of classified 
material, he remarks "I'm astonished; why then am I not surprised?"

All that needs to be said about bagpipes is to repeat the old Irish 
story of the Irish inventing the bagpipes, giving them to the Scots, and 
finding that the Scots didn't get the joke   :-)
