IMVHO- When a musician plays Jazz, it is Jazz.

When an arranger arranges Jazz, it is Jazz.

When a musician plays notes that a Jazz arranger has arranged for him, It
is still Jazz.

A band can play an entire Jazz arrangement, arranged by a Jazz arranger,
with no solos, and it is still Jazz.

Regardless if it comes out of a musician's brain or an arranger's brain, it
can still be Jazz.
