Best definition of "Jazz" I ever heard was from Louis Armstrong;

"Jazz is what you are."

That ends all the masturbatory exercises we go through trying to explain it
to each other. Everyone seems to have his/her own definition of what jazz is
or isn't and trying to change that . . . is, well . . . nonsensical.

Great argument for "relativism" as opposed to "absolutism". <grin>
