Dear David,
"Hand Me Down My Walking Cane" (pre 1926. Traditional) is indeed a
different song.
Recorded by Paul Tremaine and His Orch for Columbia on 2 Oct 1930, the
Boswell Sisters with the Dorsey Brothers for Brunswick on 17 June 1932
and again by Fats Waller for Lang-Worth as a radio transcription on 20
Nov 1939.
Popular with Western Swing groups too.
I have the words.
Kind regards,
Bill.
