Hello all,

The website has been updated with 4 essays of great historical interest as
set out below:

Millie Gaddini sends an article titled, "That's When Jelly Fell Out" by Ken
Hulsizer. A superb article about Wilton Crawley.

Writer and international jazz researcher Derek Coller sends an excellent
essay on Anthony (Tony) Parenti. This accompanies Parenti's WWI Draft
Registration Card.

Blanche Newton and Lillian L. Stevenson send an extract from the "Golden
Leafs of Time : Histories of the Alumni of Myrtle Creek" by Arlene Mickelson
Struck. Mention of the Ford restaurant in Canyonville, Oregon.

Illustrator and cartoonist Zach Trenholm has tracked down the name of the
previously unknown illustrator -- Jim Ivey -- for the sheet music cover of
Jelly Roll Morton's "Big Fat Ham" c. 1956.

The above items can be accessed from the grey UPDATED BOX at:

Coming soon --- essays by top-class researchers, accompanied by WWI draft
cards of Johnny Dunn, William Benbow, Buddie Petit (Joseph Crawford), Andrew
Hilaire, Fate Marable, George Mitchell, Tommy Ladnier and many others.

Musically yours

Mike
