[Dixielandjazz] memory and handicaps

Larry's post on memory brought back the recall of a musician long gone who  
played sax and sang all the vocals. This fellow's surname was "Woodman" and 
yes,  his family owned a lumber yard in Maine. 
 
Anyway, "Woody" as he was called has a severe speech impediment. He  
stuttered badly when trying to talk. However, when singing, he did it  effortlessly 
and never missed a word. A very popular band leader years ago.The  brain is an 
amazing organ-
