[Dixielandjazz] Stupid Question

I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day through

In that small café,
The park across the way,
The children's carousel,
The chestnut tree,
The wishing well.

I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day,
In every thing that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way.

I'll find you in the morning sun,
And when the night is new,
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.

Gorgeous melody paired with great romantic lyrics. Of course Sinatra did a
number on it in his "I Remember Tommy" album that I absolutely love. Nice
medium tempo swing. Of course some may differ with his, "I will dig you in
the early bright."

Peter:

The tune is "I'll Be Seeing You" written by Sammy Fain (music) and Irving
Kahal (lyrics). It's from the 1944 movie "I'll Be Seeing You" with Ginger
Rogers, Joseph Cotton, Shirley Temple and several others.

A partial read of the lyrics from my memory:

I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
that this heart of mine embraced
All day through.

In that dim cafe
The place across the way
The wishing well
The _____ _____
