Not that anyone cares at this point but, there is another point that helps  
to clarify why the good ol SUS4 works so well. In the 80s the music schools  
often taught that this was a rock chord (whatever that is) but, please! Can any  
chord be really new? In fact, the SUS idea came from pedalpoint--the line  
created by the footpedals on an organ. If you held the SUS 4 on an organ--it  
really sounds great resolving to the root, tonic, or I chord in pure form.
