John Booth and Brian Harvey are delighted to announce that their August Hot
Jazz Channel show broke all audience records for Internet traditional jazz
programmes with over 53,800 listeners. The total audience for the show in
its first twelve months was almost half a million - that magic figure will
be reached this month.

The eighty one minute September show, which goes live today, contains the
world debut of the Buddy Bolden Revival Orchestra who are recreating the
sound of the very first jazz band. Organised by jazz researcher, historian
and author Dan Hardie as an archive project, the band was privately recorded
at its debut concert and Hardie has generously given permission for this
first broadcast. The recording of the concert is unlikely to be released for
general sale.

Also featured in the new show are the Yerba Buena Stompers, Jacques Gauthé &
Big Bill Bissonnette with the Sweet Mary Cat Band, De De Pierce, John Wurr
with John Petters Hot Five, Archie Semple with Fred Hunt, Sammy Rimington's
New Orleans Band from the Ascona Festival, the Hoagy Carmichael Orchestra
with Bix Beiderbecke, The Comedian Harmonists, Jimmy Dorsey's Dorseyland
Jazz Band, The New Orleans Ragtime Orchestra, The Louis Armstrong Hot Five,
Wild Bill Davison and Art Hodes, The Andy Cooper Top 8, Natural Gas Jazz
Band, George Lewis Ragtime Jazz Band of New Orleans, the Tommy Sancton Trio
and Cell Block 7.

For the future please note that we are actively seeking new material to
broadcast - need we say more?
