Re.  The CD is dead.

The latest report I heard is that the public is switching back from 
downloading stuff onto their ipod (whatever that is) and and are buying CD, 
LP because they like to have something `real` to hold, collect, read 
recording/personnel notes etc.,

How big that public is of course is a different matter.
