Came across a great site to surf for folks interested in what's happening in
New Orleans, from political chatter to musical appearances in clubs. Once on
the below site, look at the index on the left. Under Top Stories, see the
third entry, "New Orleans Events" by Margarita Darling. Click on that for a
list of cultural events for the current month. Her listings also appear at
the very bottom of the index under "Cultural Events". Plenty of N.O. Jazz
listings etc.
