Oh my yes. I don't have any gunk inside my clarinets. Mainly because I swab
them after each time I play them, even after each set on a gig. Takes 5
seconds and keeps the bores as smooth as a baby's bottom.

Also clean the mouthpieces with a little soap and water when I get home from
each gig. 

Can't imagine not doing that. In my mind, it sounds/plays better and I need
all the help I can get.
