ATTABOY PAUL:
I love it when our list starts thinking outside the box :))
Whooeee does it get interesting, how about just adding a Stratocaster,
and modernize it a bit to attract a wider audience, or maybe a couple
of Double Bell EUPHONIUMS, OR TWO OR THREE EXTRA DRUMMERS, naw we can't
do that it would non- preservation. and a sacrilege of gigantic and
unforgivable proportions no doubt. And Lord forbid we let a 20 or 30
member washboard group get popular. :)) Or have a Dixieland Band play
country music Dixieland style.
The French have a saying that is not too far from reality in many
circles. "Oh those Jazzers, They love to be Bored"
Gotta go get my Red Vest & string bow tie from the cleaners now and
find my garters and artificial simulated plastic straw boater Dixieland
Hat.
By the way I just turned down a gig because the event planner insisted
that we would have to wear that outfit, they and the client apparently
are still in the BOX and refuse to come outside.

Let's see: in just the lat year, the DCs have outsold Eddie Condon's
entire catalog...
They must be better! Let's all ditch our banjos and clarinets and get
Stratocasters.
