Shalom Jazz Fans,

I've just returned from a 3 week trip to the US to visit family, take care
of a little business, and attend a friend's wedding. En route I had the
privilege of sitting in with listmate Joe Hopkins and crew at a weekly jam
session at a local pizza joint in Phoenix. Even got to meet Igor. Joe went
above and beyond the call of duty accommodating my uncertain schedule and
lack of transportation while I was in town. Thanks Joe.

Then on to LA, I brought my Mom and daughter along for Mothers' Day to hear
Warren Hildebrandt's Coyote Hills Jazz Band in Fullerton, where they also
invited me to play a couple tunes with them on my newly acquired J.W. Pepper
ca. 1900 silver cornet.

I find meeting and jamming with listmates when I travel to be one of the
great joys of participating in the DJML. For you who get away from home
occasionally, don't neglect this opportunity. And anyone who comes to
Israel, by all means contact me, and don't come without your ax!
