No, I think they're saying that, because there's already a piano, and because it's convenient enough to take public transportation, the pianist won't have to drive... And therefore can get as trashed as he/she wants to!

piano in the same sentence?  Were they thinking that if they couldn't 
get a piano there wouldn't be any problem for the pianist to bring his
