[Dixielandjazz] Set lists

Whether it is a big band or a small group, I ALWAYS make a set list.   I hate 
to hear bands that have a lull, while thinking of what tune to play  next.
That said, do I go strictly by the set list?  Usually not.   Requests, or 
audience feed back or just leader "whims" all have their  effect.
I think I stick to the set list more with my big band, than with my small  
groups.
