We probably should add Ed Metz's Bob Cats as a group featuring both tenor
sax and trombone. (I know I should since I saw them last weekend.)

Tenor fits very well with a Dixie band, although the absence of a trombone
would be noticed. I recall that the "Chicago style" Dixie used both, Muggsy
Spanier being a prime example during the late thirties- The tenor really
mellows
the sound-
