[Dixielandjazz] Slide vs. Valve Trombones

I find it strange that anyone (and apparently only the few, thankfully) would necessarily hear a fast/staccato passage and assume valve.  The staccato passages in "Trombone Rag" never made me think, "Hey, Turk switched to valve!",
