 On the other hand, there is the outstanding "Early Jass" Festival held at
Strongsville, Ohio each year.  It is a great show.

I totally agree with Mike. I think some of this PC stuff is crap, There are
way too many "don'ts".
But on the other hand it doesn't seem right to be insulting.

Even before the PC craze I felt uncomfortable using lyrics and words that I
felt would actually offend the average person of some race, religion or
other persuasion. So I either change the words, or don't use the vocal
version.  It's simply giving others the respect they deserve as other
humans.

But, contrarily,
I once had a drummer (business mgr.) who rebelled at calling our band the
"Onion River Jass Band" and he kept changing it to "jazz".
As damn few people had any idea what it  really meant, I felt this was "over
the top" and refused to change it.
