I did not repaste the whole message of Steve's on the value and "good" of  
providing historical context for tunes on appropriate concert occasions.   But 
hurrah, hurrah, hurrah, hurrah for those of you that do this.  And  everyone 
who has not done some historical searching on Thomas A. Dorsey, do  so.  What a 
fascinating composer and lyricist, kept on simultaneously  writing great 
"gospel" and great rowdy tunes.
