Well guys I have played both songs extensively and the beginnings of 
them are pretty darned close, so close that I would venture to say that 
  Bill Haley indeed borrowed a good portion of the Second Line tune   
aka Joe Avery's Tune/Blues and got away with it.  :))

   WE can't be discussing the same tune.  Even audience members see the
similarity between Joe Avery's Piece and Rock around the Clock.
