Yes, apparently it is not that rare a thing.  Cheaper to rent a school
instrument than to go to the ortho!   :>

I don't believe actual straight teeth have ever come from it, though.
Braces are eventually needed, inspite of all the heavy metal (read
"mouthpiece") being jammed into your chops.
