Dear Ric,
I did a file search for "Zuyderzee Blues" and discovered that it goes back
to several Belgian records made in 1942-43.
Unfortunately, nothing readily available so that I can hear the tune.
Just curious.
I also found this session (which seems to have been unissued):

The Moonlight Broadcasters.
Colin Smith, Paul Lacey, t; Alistair Allan, tb; Randy Colville, cl/as; John
Barnes, cl/ts/bar; Keith Nichols, p/vcl; Paul Sealey, g; Graham Read
sb/sousa; Graham Collicott, d.
+ guests: Peter Ecklund, tp; Guido Nielsen, vln; De Nootenkraaksters, vcl
group; Marjan de Jong, Chris Ellis, vcl; Menno Daams, t; Bert [I assume that
this is my friend Bent] Persson, t; Dick Sleeman, tb; Claus Jacobi, as; Joep
Peeters, as; Robert Veen, ts; The Rhythm Hot Shots (tap dance group).
   Location and date unknown.
    China Boy (signature tune)
    Bugle Call Rag
You Ought to See Sally on Sunday
Doin' the New Low-Down (feat. TRHS)
Advertisements (NK vcl, KN p only)
Happy As the Day is Long
    Blue Interlude
    Swingin' in the Groove
    Zuyderzee Blues
Quiz Tune Feel The Jazz (issued on Dutch FTJCD15 [CD]
    Radio Blues Impromptu (jam session)
    China Boy (signature tune)

A few well-known 'old world' names in that lot.
Including the guest trombonist!
Kind regards,
Bill.
