Aha:
Sounds like the DIGITAL Peggy Lee OR May West OR maybe an attempt At
Marilyn Monroe, who cooed nicely.
can't be any worse than Pia Zadora. And she is a lot prettier than
Janis Joplin too. She has most of the necessary ingredients for
success. NAME, MONEY, Lusty Looks, Shameless promotion, a wee bit of
Talent, but most importantly, "SHE IS NOT MY DAUGHTER" I want to
wait till she is old enough and cast her as a "Madam for the House of
the RISING SUN MOVIE. "
Cheers,
Tom Wiggins ( Musical Flesh Peddler extraordinaire)

Few of us know who Scott Storch is. FYI he produces hit music sides
for 50
cent, Dr Dre, and a whole bunch of others. At 32, he is rich and famous
among the Hip Hop crowd. He has taken on a new challenge . . . that of
producing a hit record with singer(?) Paris Hilton.
Just goes to prove that with judicious electronic interference, you
can make
any singer/band/musician sound acceptable. :-) VBG.
Also proves that sex via music still sells. :-) VBG
Also makes me wish I was 30 again, in the music business in
California, and
knowing what I know now. Paris baby, et al, look out. :-) VBG
Proof that we OKOMers should be able to "sell" our music if we make it
relevant? (sexy and digitally enhanced) :-) VBG.
Below snip from a NY TIMES ARTS SECTION article.
Cheers,
Steve
"In the coming months Mr. Storch's hitmaking ability will be put to the
ultimate test. He spent a significant portion of last year working
with the
celebutante Paris Hilton on her debut album, which is scheduled for
release
this summer. Ms. Hilton has already proven adept at selling books,
perfume,
racy videotapes and hamburgers, but will she be able to push albums?
Yes,
the producer is betting. "I think Paris's album is going to take
everyone by
surprise," he said confidently. Still, walking into the project, Mr.
Storch
admitted, he had felt some trepidation. "I remember having a
conversation
with Dr. Dre, and he said: 'Scott, this is a risk. You can either have
incredible success or big failure. But risk is good.' " He decided to
gamble."
"Later in the evening, at a Miami studio, he played a handful of
tracks from
Ms. Hilton's album. 'Jealousy' was clearly aimed at her ever-shrinking,
ex-best-friend Nicole Ritchie. And on 'It's Like That,' destined for
the
clubs, Ms. Hilton, in a breathy, digitally enhanced register, can be
heard
cooing, "Gonna lose my clothes/You like that don't you/Let's get
exposed/You
know you want to."
