One of the players at that session tells me they had to have Milt up on a  
wooden crate in order to be loud enough on the recording. He did not have his  
own mic. Berhnart commented afterward it was more difficult to stay balanced on 
 that little crate than it was to blow the solo. He also tells me that  
Bernhart was not a usual first call favorite of Nelson Riddle's, but Sinatra had  
requested him(thank goodness).
