Computer problems ... big time !!
I can only use the computer when it allows me to do so.

Today, I bought an external hard drive to save all My Documents/=20
Photos and important stuff.

I have all the bells and whistles for internet security. However,
I didn't do updates and I got hit with: "Look2Me".

This is really difficult to get rid of, and it blesses me with a =20
zillion popups, plus trying to change my browser etc.
It also has a trick. When you get it erased, it will reload when the =20
computer reboots.
So ... it is in the startup menu somewhere. Just can't find it. I've =20
done the "safe mode" etc.

If any of your whiz-kid friends know what to do ... that isn't scary =20
like going into the registry,
please let me know. I've tried about everything.

Gotta run before it explodes !!  Think I'll just get a new computer =20
and start over.

Tell him to buy a Mac if he's buying new. Currently, there are no =20
known viruses that can affect a Mac running OS X.
