Sorry to see off Phil's demise
  He and I were contemporaries, having spoken several times about being able to catch the Watters Band at Big Bear, circa 1941.
   
  Having left the Bay Area in the early fifties, saw Phil once or twice at festivals, enjoyed hearing his FM radio Jazz Program until leaving the area
   
  He will be missed
